Ms. Ashley has been teaching preschool, TK, Kindergarten and grade school for over 20 years! She comes from a family of teachers and her passion is making a difference in children’s lives. She is not just a teacher but also a mommy and a grandma. She has 2 daughters and a grandson. She loves being a grandma! When she’s not in the classroom, you will probably find her at the gym or curled up on the couch with a good book.

Ms. Karen joined Building Bridges in 2015 and has been working in preschool education since she was 18 years old! She is our Lead Teacher, a favorite of the children and a mentor to our other teachers.  Ms. Karen has a passion for working with children because she is a big kid at heart. She loves reading stories, singing songs, and jumping rope.

Ms. Shelly is Ms. Ashley’s sister! They started Building Bridges together in 2010. Ms. Shelly has lots of business experience as she owns her own Civil Engineering company, and as a general contractor, she can also take care of all the facility needs. She raised her two children in Lafayette and now her grandchildren live nearby in Walnut Creek. She loves the beautiful natural wonder of the preschool property, loves the neighborhood, and can’t get enough of the little ones when she helps out on the playground.
